Reflections from 2023 and looking forward to 2024

We wish you the very best for the festive season and the new year and to thank you for your continued engagement.
We have been delighted to welcome into our community, new corporate, affiliate and professional members. We have enjoyed meeting some of you at our network events and to meet many more of you in 2024.
2023 saw many organisations undertake their second and third maturity assessment, and a summary of 2023 results are available for download from our website. The commitment of corporate members to creating cultures of CI has been quite inspirational and I hope some will draw on this experience to enter our 2024 awards.
This year also saw the launch of our think tank, and we look forward to seeing how this develops during 2024. The work of this group will also link with the lived experience research.
We have much to look forward to In 2024. We are starting a specialist group for combined authority leaders, and we are looking forward to the first expert voice article which will be provided by law practice Browne Jacobsen.
Dates for your diary include the network events; Edinburgh on 16 April, and Birmingham on 02 July. Our conference and awards will be held in October, I am awaiting confirmation of venue availability before I confirm the exact date, but the venue will either be London or York. As usual, places to these events is free, but corporate and professional members get first refusal.
So a busy year that has flown by, and I am sure 2024 will be just as active.
