Over 100 members join the 2024 conference in York.
Over 100 delegate enjoyed an informative and fun day at the ICIPS conference and awards, held in York. Enact Solutions opened the event, exploring the application of storytelling techniques to understand customer experiences.
Councillor Anne Handley, Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council followed with an inspiring talk, outlining how she overcome political and other barriers, to gain agreement to form a combined authority.
The conference then heard from some exceptional speakers who explored leadership, innovation and emerging thinking on change techniques; the speakers were Professor Sanjay Bhasin, Meg Farmer Head of Process and Performance Improvement Anthony Nolan Trust , Dr Rachael Chapman - Assistant Professor in International Relations and Politics Northumbria University, Liz Lockey - Chief Officer Hambleton Community Action, Lynsey Walker-Smith Course Lead and Senior Lecturer at York Business School and Chris Abbott from DEFRA.
Award winners gave short presentation on their work; NHSBT won the innovation category with Mitie the runners up. Network Rail won the practicing listening and learning category, and Methods won the leadership engagement category.
Three awards were presented to CI students who have shown dedication to their personal development, and who have applied this to the benefit of their colleagues and organisation; winners were Tom Neve from Methods, Saffron Sharpe from Serco and Annemarie Gonzales from Mitie . The 2024 CEO special award was awarded to Meg Farmer Anthony Nolan Trust, who ICIPS felt embodied everything that an ICIPS professional member represents.
