We are looking to recruit three Design Leads to join the Change Delivery team within Corporate Services based in Wakefield. We have one permanent full time post, and two nine month fixed term positions, with the possibility of extension.

In this new and challenging role, you will manage and support the delivery of business change projects through the application and development of specialist, professional business change, analytics and project management techniques; which are essential to informing, influencing and driving the successful development and delivery of organisational improvement and transformational change at a strategic and local level.

Eligible candidates will be educated to degree level or will have a final qualification from an appropriate professional institution in a relevant subject which involves, for example, Systems Thinking, Operational Research, Process Improvement and Business Analysis. Candidates with accredited experience in an appropriate specialist methodology such as simulation modelling, Analytics, process improvement, systems design, lean, systems thinking and mathematical optimisation will also be considered.

The successful candidate will already have significant experience in the development, application and delivery of corporate business change projects, and will possess the essential knowledge, understanding and expertise of a wide range of specialist research methodologies and techniques required for this role. You must therefore have demonstrable experience of managing, developing and co-ordinating corporate organisational change projects, and experience of managing, influencing, directing and motivating project teams of varying ranks and grades, through the use of professionally recognised methodologies.

We are looking for candidates who are highly numerate, can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and have a proven ability in the application and use of relevant, specialist IT systems. Proven experience of preparing reports for and presenting to senior staff is also essential.

Ideal candidates will also have a proven innovative and analytical approach to delivering corporate business change, and has experience in the application of recognised Operational Research and business analysis methodologies, techniques and systems.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be prepared to work outside normal hours, and away from your normal place of work. It is therefore essential that you are able and willing to travel for business purposes.

The successful candidate will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment.
